The WRA World Association for Refractory Standardization Task Force led by the WRA-ISO liaison Dr. Gerhard Urbanek planned a meeting in Brussels to review three standards: determination of compressive strength at ambient temperature, determination of abrasion resistance at ambient temperature and determination of CO resistance. The meeting did not take place due to the limitations related to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. The secretary of SPMO J.Czechowski, who also Has a function of the Chairman of the PKN Technical Committee No. 28 for Refractory Materials, sent opinions on the existing standards, in particular on the results of the compressive strength tests of the team he led in the ReStaR project. The results of the research under this project were used to introduce changes to the EN standard.
